Lauchlin Fields is Blue Engine’s Program & Coaching Manager and a lifelong storyteller who believes the best ideas usually start on a front porch. Before joining Blue Engine, she spent nearly twenty years helping newsrooms and cultural organizations connect with their communities — leading audience growth at Mississippi Today, directing innovation at Deep South Today, and founding The Sip Collective, a Mississippi-based storytelling venture that blends journalism, history, and culture. She also publishes Amplify The Sip, a digital publication that uses a full-funnel storytelling model to move stories beyond the page and into people’s lives. She’s worked on everything from oral histories and museum exhibits to digital strategy and newsletters — all in service of one goal: helping people see themselves in the stories that shape their world. She lives in Vicksburg with her wife, Olivia, and their two sons, where stories, community, and connection are part of daily life.
